What I’ve learned about these machines–toning tables, toning beds, toning gadgets—whatever you choose to call them, is that they can be what you want them to be.

If you want strong muscle tone, you can provide your own resistance by holding and stretching muscles using the intended design and provided weights, and your own tucking and holding. Each machine is designed to work different parts of the core. You can use each one as long as you want. You’ll walk out of here feeling as if you’ve had a really good workout. And you have!

If you’re trying to lose a few pounds, I have clients who have lost inches around their waistline and dropped dress sizes. Add this to a diet program, drink lots of water, and see the results.

Others have health and physical issues that make stringent exercising impossible. I have clients who are recovering from surgery, or with arthritis, back problems, even fibromyalgia.  They simply want to instill and maintain some mobility and fluidity.
